About
I build custom steel bicycle frames in small numbers – one at a time, by hand.
My background is in photography and industrial design, but bikes have been with me since I was a kid. Over the years I’ve raced fixed gear, done 24-hour MTB races, and now focus on long-distance ultras. The bike has always been more than a machine to me – it’s the best way to move through the world.
At some point, riding wasn’t enough – I wanted to understand how a good bike is made. I started learning framebuilding and slowly began building bikes for others. Each one is different. Each one is meant to give someone a great time on the bike – whatever that means to them.
I build in Heizhaus.nbg, a self-organized collective workshop in Nuremberg. It’s a place that stands for solidarity, creativity, and doing things together. That spirit influences everything I do – from the way I work to the kind of bikes I want to put out into the world.
My frames are made from modern steel tubing, welded with care, and built to be ridden hard and long. I also draw on my experience in additive manufacturing – sometimes it takes custom parts or new solutions to make an idea work.
This project is still growing. But the goal stays the same: build good bikes for people who love to ride.
